Step 1: Education Assessment

ECA – Education Credential Assessment. It is valid for 5 years. WES – World Education Services. It was designed by the immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to provide Educational Credential Assessments (ECAs). An ECA is used to evaluate degrees and diplomas earned outside of Canada. ICAS – International Credential Assessment Services. ICAS provides reports that help employers, education institutions, immigration officials and community agencies understand the education you completed outside Canada.

ICAS prepares Assessment Reports that describe education completed outside Canada and how it compares to levels of education in Ontario/Canada. IQAS – International Qualification Assessment Services. The IQAS is an Alberta government service. It completes assessments and issues certificates that compare educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada. In Canada, some occupations are regulated and have legal requirements. ICES – International Credential Evaluation Services. It provides individuals with accurate and reliable evaluations of their educational documents for Canadian education, work and immigration purposes. International Credential Evaluation Services is a government-mandated service in British Columbia.

Step 2: Language Test

Test need to give for English Proficiency. CELPIP – Canadian English Language Index Program, conducted in Canada, US, Philippine and UAE. IELTS – International English Language Testing System Conducted in many countries. The better scores in English /language test would increase the chance of early ITA.

Step 3: Profile Creation for ITA

ITA – Invitation to Apply. Given by govt of Canada under FSW (Federal Skilled Worker) category by any province as part of PNP (Provincial Nominee Program) program. On basis of Total CRS score and current draw score by this student would get an ITA. IELTS score and ECA required for profile creation. Based on current work and job duties, a NOC code could be assigned. After profile created and locked, Student would receive an ITA from CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) when students CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score clears the draw cut off. CRS Scores largely tied to the applicant’s ability, education, work experience and age.

Step 4: Profile Arranging Documents

After receiving ITA, submit the following documents for VISA. Medical Test Report / Receipt Police Clearance Certificate Proof of Funds (Bank Statement 6 months) Letter of Reference for each work experience declared Marriage/Divorce/Death Certificates of Spouse. Birth/Adoption certificate of Dependent children Passport – All pages Photographs – passport size – Specified Format Information of Travel outside Country and address of places where resided in last 10 years. Submit documents for principle applicant Spouse & the dependent children, as applicable.

Step 5: Submit VISA Application

Submit all documents connected in step 4. Pay VISA fee. Wait 5 days to 6 months for confirmation of permanent residence. Normally it takes 2 – 4 months. Re-submit any documents if asked by CIC.

Step 6: VISA Stamping

After receiving the confirmation of PR, “VISA needs to be stamped in your Passport. Small fee Need to be paid in VFS centre. Passport & Photographs needed now. Needs to be submitted with 30 days. Would receive VISA and crop in a week time. VISA is a single-entry VISA only for the first time.
